I’m seeing lots of outrage at Kentucky’s Republican House members spending yesterday playing a game of bingo based on tedious phrases that their Democratic colleagues use like:
- Working families
- Increased minimum wage
- Public education
- I’m a parent
- Gun violence
Let’s face it, being a member of the Kentucky Legislature is boring work, and listening to the minority party, especially the women, prattle on about basic human decency and improving the lives of Kentuckians is most people’s definition of hell on Earth.
Looking at the photos of the bingo cards, it appeared many were struggling to complete a bingo, which just seems unfair. So to keep the supermajority awake and entertained during their tedious workday, I’d like to suggest some more Republican-centric bingo card items to make sure that they can get through the day with at least one winner.
- “Paid Protesters”
- “Second Amendment”
- “Shall not be infringed”
- “Failing public schools”
- “Teachers unions”
- “Sex at birth”
- “Good Christian”
- “Bathroom”
- “Illegals”
- “Job creators”
- “Job-killing”
- “Law enforcement”
- “DEI”
- “Unwavering support for Israel”
- “My good friend from _____”
- “Test scores”
- “God-given rights”
- “Our values”
- Antisemitic comment
- Cowboy hat (Free Space)
- Eye rolling at female legislator
- Sponsor struggling to read text of their own bill
- Botched grammar
- Botched grammar from a member of the Education Committee
Surely with these additions you’ll be screaming out “BINGO” in no time.
More games for GOP lawmakers
Should the Bingo game get tiring, I have plenty of suggestions for future games you can play to keep you awake during the session.
- The Price Is Right for My Vote
- Survivor (Must Carry Their Baby To Term)
- Confirmed Bachelor
- The Amazing Racist
- Let’s Make a Deal To Hide My Bill’s Language In Yours
- Who Wants To Do The Bidding of A Millionaire?
- Big Brother
- The Traitors (Spoiler… It’s everyone)
- Media Monopoly
- One (We wouldn’t dare call it “Uno”)
If you need the rules to any of these, just make them up as you go like you always do. With these games and some caffeine or other stimulants, I think you’ll be able to make it through to Sine Die.
