Gov. Andy Beshear publicly called President Donald Trump's address in Davos, Switzerland, "dangerous, disrespectful and unhinged" in a Jan. 21 post to X.
Both men are in Davos for the World Economic Forum. While Trump discussed his plan to acquire Denmark's Greenland territory during his speech, he also questioned whether the United States could count on the support of other NATO allies, according to USA TODAY.
Following Trump's address, Beshear took to social media to denounce the president's remarks.

"From insulting our allies to telling struggling Americans that he's fixed inflation and the economy is amazing, the President is hurting both our families' financial security and our national security," he wrote.
Beshear also took a dig at Trump for mixing up Greenland and Iceland, as Trump appeared to confuse the two during his speech.
