Thanks to the good folks at the KY Democratic Party headquarters, we’ve got a list of all the Democratic-sponsored food drives across the state. Use the table of contents above to find the one closest to you, then grab your bags of groceries and head on over!

Anderson County

Breckinridge County

  • All donations collected will be given to the Good Samaritan Center in Hardinsburg.
  • Spread the word, let people know! Word of mouth, social media, smoke signals, whatever it takes!
  • Donate! There are going to be a lot of hungry people out there.
  • SHOW UP! We need people to support this and make it work.

Bullitt County

  • Take a photo of your donation and tag us @ Kenton County Democrats to help inspire others to give!

  • Shelf-stable items: Canned goods — hearty soups, stews, ravioli, vegetables, proteins, tomato products, after-school snacks for children: ramen, chips, Pop-Tarts, cereal bars, cereal, juice boxes, granola bars, jerky, trail mix, fruit snacks, cookies, Gatorade, crackers, popcorn, hot chocolate, peanuts, juice, oatmeal, peanut butter, condiments and sauces: ketchup, BBQ sauce, salad dressing, etc.
  • Thanksgiving items: Spices: pepper, cinnamon, sage, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, parsley, Cajun seasoning; condiments: mustard, Miracle Whip, relish, stuffing, vegetable and chicken broth, macaroni, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, flour, sugar (white and brown), easy-storing produce like potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, pecans and Karo syrup for pie, chocolate chips, Crisco, cooking oil, cake mix

  • On Saturday morning, volunteers will place empty grocery bags near your front door.
  • On Sunday, volunteers will pick up filled bags that have been placed near your front door.

Requested items: Canned vegetables & fruits, boxed mac n' cheese, tuna, peanut butter, cereal, pasta, stuffing mix, spaghetti sauce, cornbread mix, and crackers.

If you would like to volunteer to help with the food drive, come to the Maysville Rotary Clubhouse (204 Bridge St.) at 9 AM EST on Saturday, November 8. You will choose an area and be given grocery bags to place on porches.

On Sunday, November 9, you will pick up the filled bags and bring them to the Mason County Food Pantry.

CCMC Community Care Mason County: Community Care of Mason County is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates the Mason County Food Pantry and provides assistance to Mason County residents in need.

  1. Todd County Interfaith Community Center – 602 S Streets Ave, Elkton, KY - They are open Tues: 10 AM - 4 PM. Wed, Thurs, Fri: 10 AM - 3 PM. Sat: 10 AM - 2 PM. Nonperishable food items.
  2. Guthrie Interchurch Ministry Food Pantry – 233 S Ewing St, Guthrie, KY (use back door, will see sign) – Food Pantry is open Tue and Thur from 10 AM to Noon. Accepts non-perishable food items, paper products like toilet paper and facial tissues, dish soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes.
  3. Ministry 52 – Takes cash, check, Cash App, and Venmo and uses the funds to purchase groceries for people at the time of need. Contact info on their Facebook Page or call (270) 498-1910. Donations can be sent by Cash App - $ministry5252 or Venmo - @Hillary0917
