Indivisible Danville and other local residents staged an anti-war protest Saturday, March 7, outside of a Republican fundraiser at the National Guard Armory.
The annual Boyle County Republican breakfast, featuring Ky’s US Sen. Rand Paul and Rep. Andy Barr, gave Indivisible Danville an opportunity for a “pop-up” demonstration against President Donald Trump’s anti-constitutional actions in attacking Iran, what many consider to be the beginning of war without congressional authorization.
While Paul has expressed concern over the attacks, Barr has called a constitutionally-mandated war powers act “dangerous” and “misguided.”

Approximately twenty protestors lined the sidewalk leading to the Armory at 8am. The number of drivers who honked in support of the No More Wars message indicated the community joins a large majority of US citizens opposed to Trump’s actions and Barr’s position.

Indivisible Danville now turns its attention to the next No Kings protest, Saturday, March 28, at 10am in the Courthouse Square.
