Hi all,
We are hitting the road with our newly launched statewide Medicaid Media Tour to defend Medicaid from devastating GOP cuts that threaten to close 35 rural Kentucky hospitals and eliminate thousands of jobs. Meanwhile, Governor Beshear just secured a $2 billion investment from Ford, creating 2,200 good-paying jobs, while Trump’s tariffs drive up prices for families. As students return to school, Republicans continue their assault on public education through funding cuts and attacks on programs that help vulnerable students. Together, we’re fighting back and making life better for Kentucky families.

KDP kicks off statewide media tour to defend Kentuckians from extreme cuts to Medicaid
How to talk about it:
- The fight for affordable, accessible health care is coming to your doorstep. The KDP just kicked off a statewide tour to defend Medicaid from extreme Republican cuts.
- Thanks to the GOP-backed federal budget, Kentuckians are about to lose health care, hospitals and jobs. Republicans are ignoring concerned constituents. Democrats are giving them a place to tell their stories.
- At our first tour stop in Hazard, community leaders explained that these Medicaid cuts will undo progress in the war on addiction and may turn Eastern Kentucky into a “ghost town.”

Kentucky Republicans are stripping health care from many of our neighbors in [XXX] County.
The KDP is fighting back with a statewide tour to give us a chance to tell our story. We’re not going to back down in this fight to protect health for our most vulnerable.
Republicans are killing jobs and driving up prices. Democrats are delivering jobs
How to talk about it:
- Governor Beshear’s leadership just secured the third-largest development project in Kentucky history. Ford is investing nearly $2 billion in Kentucky, creating 2,200 good-paying jobs.
- The Beshear-Coleman administration has secured more investments than any other in Kentucky history, showing that when Democrats get elected, they put people first and govern well.
- Meanwhile, Trump’s tariffs are driving up prices and his Kentucky GOP-backed federal budget is stripping health care and food assistance from millions. The bottom line? Republican policies are making life less affordable.

Gov. Beshear just secured record investments like Ford’s nearly $2 billion project that’s creating good-paying jobs.
That’s what [XXX] County gets with Democrats in charge. Republicans just give us higher prices and broken promises.
Kentucky K-12 and college students return to schools struggling under GOP-backed cuts
How to talk about it:
- As back-to-school shopping season peaks, prices on supplies are spiking even higher because of Trump’s senseless trade wars. Grocery prices are up 2.9% compared to this time last year.
- From underfunding public schools, to ending homeless student support and snatching aid from low-income college students, Kentucky Republicans are betraying working families on education at the state and federal level.
- While Republicans try to send your tax dollars to big city private schools, Democrats are fighting to give kids in all 120 counties access to a quality public education.
