MAGA Indiana Senator posts pictures of him beating up Santa. What is wrong with these people?

Sharing this post because this guy represents Southern Indiana, right across the Ohio from Louisville. Wow.

December 25th is the day when most Christians celebrate the birthday of their religion’s eponym. It is an occasion for good food and drink, seasonal cheer, and conviviality. It is a day that most people think should be a day to celebrate the human community while putting aside that which divides us — ie, politics.

Chris Garten is not most people. Instead of good cheer, he decided to make a point completely unrelated to the holiday. And to do it by showing him beating up Santa. Why? It seems that this Indiana State Senator believes the personification of Christmas is an agent of big government socialist overreach. He does not explain how he connected those two dots.

In a Christmas Day tweet, this Hosier Grinch wrote:

When you find out the North Pole is trying to bring more bureaucratic overreach & unfunded mandates down the chimney disguised as "Christmas cheer." Not on my watch. We The People run Indiana, not the bureaucrats.

Take it back to the North Pole big guy. Merry Christmas, Hoosiers!

Below his Christmas message, Gartner posted four AI-generated pictures. One, an image of him dressed as a sleeveless Santa, riding an undersized reindeer. And three of him dressed in a vest and tie over a sleeveless dress shirt, kicking, punching, and body-slamming Santa.

It makes sense to him. However, I expect that even some of his teammates didn’t follow his plot.  And wondered how and why Garter thought this would advance his cause.

Predictably, this man, who believes sadism and violence are Christian values, received pushback for his puerile attempt at what — humor? If so, Gartner has provided yet more evidence that conservatives can’t quite grasp comedy.

Luckily, the people didn’t support Gartner’s position, and he was ratioed. Here are some of the reactions

“I can’t begin to explain to a moron like you just how big an asshole you have proven you are.beating the fuck out of an old man (who also happens to be a saint) ain't the flex your prompt thinks it is.”“Next Chris will post a video of beating the baby Jesus, because Jesus is too woke for little Chris”“So nice for the kiddies to see this, eh?. Could you be any more adolescent and violent as a role model?  WTH?”“You MEANT to post this? Or are you drunk posting?”

Garten was no abashed. Like limited thinkers everywhere, he decided to double down. And tweeted:

Lots of intolerance, swearing, and outrage on display over a few AI pics I had a blast designing with my kids.

Some of you clowns are just insufferable. Hopefully your negativity stays in the comments and not directed at your families.

Merry Christmas, snowflakes!

It’s sad to think this unpleasant man is raising his children to be like him. It makes you wonder how his father treated him. In addition, when Gartner talks of “intolerance, and outrage,” “clowns,” “insufferable,” and “negativity,” he is providing unalloyed, 24-karat projection.
