Massie plans to bring ‘inherent contempt’ charges against AG Bondi

Republican U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie isn’t satisfied with the U.S. Department of Justice’s release of the files related to its investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

And he’s planning to do something about it.

The DOJ on Dec. 19 released photos and hundreds of thousands of documents about Epstein, who pleaded guilty to state charges in 2008 and was arrested in 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges. But not all the documents were disclosed, and many of them that were are heavily redacted.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the Kentucky congressman said Attorney General Pam Bondi is “breaking the law” and he’s dissatisfied with the incomplete and redacted files. Alongside Democratic U.S. Rep. Ro Khanna, who represents California, Massie is drafting “inherent contempt” charges against Bondi and wants to fine her for not complying with the law.
