Mr. Dotson Goes to Washington

Always fun when you get to visit with your MAGA heroes

Rep. Ryan Dotson (R-XianNationalist) has launched his run for the congressional seat held by Andy Barr. As part of his launch, he traveled to our nation’s capitol to meet with those party leaders he admires the most, in hopes of learning from them how to be a serious legislator.

Let’s see how that went.

At the White House

Dotson got to meet with Trump’s political advisors. Apparently, they consider his race one of the most important in the country. (Did you know that? Me neither.)

Paul Gosar and Scott Perry

Then it was on to a meeting with those paragons of sensible representation, Paul Gosar and Scott Perry.

  • Gosar has repeatedly been linked to white nationalism, antisemitism, and various conspiracy theories.
  • Perry was “central to the planning of January 6th,” and later asked Trump for a pardon for his role in the insurrection.

Jim Jordan

Of course, Dotson had to have breakfast with a “true American Patriot,” Jim Jordan. Apparently he conveniently forgot Jordan’s other career.

And finally, Miller and MTG

Let’s wrap up the “Mr. Dotson Goes to Washington” photo essay with his visit with Mary Miller (R-Freedom Caucus) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-“You Lie!” Caucus). Two truly classy representatives.

  • Mary Miller’s sole claim to fame (at least according to her Wikipedia page) is mistaking a Sikh cleric delivering a prayer in the House chamber as a Muslim – and then condemning the prayer itself. “It’s deeply troubling that a Muslim was allowed to lead prayer in the House of Representatives this morning. This should never have been allowed to happen. America was founded as a Christian nation, and I believe our government should reflect that truth, not drift further from it. May God have mercy!”
  • Of course, MTG deserves an entire article all by herself – and indeed, her Wikipedia page checks in at 12,000 words. Who can forget space lasers, or that Sandy Hook was staged, or her support for QAnon? The fact that Dotson calls her one of the “very best” members of Congress says more about him than about her.

In conclusion

All these photos came from Ryan Dotson’s Facebook page. There’s no photoshopping, no AI manipulation. Just a set of photos in his own name, showing the elected officials he looks up to and wants to emulate.

So if these are the people he chooses to meet with, smile with, and have his picture taken with – then there is no way in God’s green earth Dotson should be allowed to occupy the 6th District seat in the United States House of Representative. Period.
