The primary election is weeks away, and Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates – Kentucky (PPAA – KY) is going all in. Today, PPAA – KY announced three additional endorsed candidates, completing the ten-candidate slate for the 2026 May Primary.
Said Tamarra Wieder, director for PPAA-KY:
“This is our moment. Anti-abortion politicians have had their chance to impose their agenda on Kentucky, and voters have rejected them at every turn. Access to reproductive health care is not a political talking point, it is health care. It’s dignity. And in Kentucky, too many people are denied it. These ten candidates have committed to changing that and we will do everything in our power to help them win this May.”
The “Reproductive Health Champions” endorsed by PPPA:
- Cassie Lyles, HD 30
- Nima Kulkarni, HD 40
- Joi McAtee, HD 43
- Suhas Kulkarni, HD 48
- Aprile Hearn, Louisville Metro Council District 5
- Stephenie Hoelscher, Lexington-Fayette Urban Council District 5
- Shameka Parrish-Wright, Mayor of Louisville
- Anne Gay Donworth, HD 76
- Alison Brotzge-Elder, Louisville Metro Council District 9
- Betsy Ruhe, Louisville Metro Council District 21
In the coming weeks and months, Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates – Kentucky will be sharing more endorsements for local and state elections. You can find more information on these endorsements online.
