And, a special Welcome to all the new members who have joined in the past week – including all those who came aboard via Summit ’25! Glad to have ALL of you with us!
Lots of good stories below, so check them out. And as always, thanks for being a member of Forward Kentucky!

A word from our sponsor

This newsletter is sponsored by Joe Graviss, who encourages all of us to remember this updated version of the Serenity Prayer:

God, grant me the patience to work with the unjust systems I cannot change today; the courage to strategically enact progress when I know I can; and the wisdom to know that despite structural oppression, I can still make a difference. Amen.

Updates

Not too late to watch the Summit ‘25 talks!

If you missed signing up in time to watch the 18 talks live, you’re in luck: you can still register as a participant and watch all 18 talks via their video replays. And, you’ve got till November 17 to do so! Just head to the site and click the “Reserve My Place” button. Finish registration, log in, and watch away! (Pro tip – be sure to watch the keynote by Anderson Clayton, the chair of the North Carolina Dems. She’s excellent!)

A new series from Ivonne Rovira

One of our regular contributors, Ivonne Rovira, has begun a new series: “History Trump Doesn’t Know.” Written with Ivonne’s wonderfully snarky style, the series points out the many parts of our history that the Mango Mussolini doesn’t have a clue. The first entry in the series is just below. Watch for more episodes coming soon!
