Good evening! As you can tell by the headline, we are just one (1) new member short of that 1,000 mark. It is just a number, after all – but after nine years of doing this, it will be a little bit of affirmation. 😊
And Lord knows, we need all the affirmation we can get. I was in a pretty bad spot on Friday and Saturday; watching Republicans pass one of the worst bills of my life was not fun. I know many of you were in the same place.
But one thing I keep seeing emphasized in all the commentary is the need for building community. I’ve been thinking about how to do more of that with Forward Kentucky. Lots of ideas, but nothing definitive as of yet. If YOU have any ideas as to how to do that with our site, feel free to send them to me.
Thanks for being a member of Forward Kentucky!

Bruce

A word from our sponsor

This newsletter is sponsored by Joe Graviss, who encourages all of us to remember this updated version of the Serenity Prayer:

God, grant me the patience to work with the unjust systems I cannot change to day; the courage to strategically enact progress when I know I can; and the wisdom to know that despite structural oppression, I can still make a difference. Amen.
